Royal Island Resort Maldives

Our experience at Royal Island Resort was nothing short of amazing! Nestled in the heart of the Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve, this island is a true gem. While not overly large, the island boasts lush vegetation that creates a serene and picturesque environment. The cleanliness of the resort was impeccable, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain it at the highest standards. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The resort team organized our transfer seamlessly, perfectly timed to coincide with our international flight, which was a huge relief. A special mention goes to Faridun, who personally welcomed us, guided us to our villa, and ensured that every detail of our stay was perfect. His attentiveness truly enhanced our experience. Our villa was a haven of comfort, cleaned twice daily with fresh water, towels, and everything else we could possibly need replenished promptly. The attention to detail was outstanding. The dining experience was equally exceptional. The buffet offered a wide variety of cuisines, catering to every palate—whether you’re a fan of traditional Maldivian dishes, Chinese flavors, European classics, or other international options. We were fortunate to have Habib as our server during meals, and his kindness, cheerful demeanor, and attentiveness made each meal a pleasure. He ensured we always had drinks and anything else we needed. We also took advantage of some of the excursions offered by the activities center, which were wonderfully organized and provided unforgettable memories. Whether you're looking for adventure or relaxation, the resort has something for everyone. We wholeheartedly recommend Royal Island Resort to anyone seeking a slice of paradise. It exceeded all our expectations, and we are already looking forward to returning one day. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special!

Between the large amount of resorts in Maldives we have picked Royal Island Resort and we couldnt be happier of our choice! We were coming in after a full, busy and intense week in India and decided to pick a week of relax by the seaside. Honestly speaking? Everything worked perfectly! Starting from the warm welcoming and dedicated checkin after the internal connection handled directly by the resort, we got in touch with Nipun as our dedicated many point of contact to ease our stay. Special mention to him as really was very reactive and supporting in everything like arranging activities and escursion, providing guidance and useful recommendations everyday and brillantly solving a couple of small issues we have had during our stay which required medical support (my wife had a small otitis while I cut myself while swimming, nothing serious but promptly addressed). Kudos Nipun, well done and keep the good work! Special mention to all the staff as well as waiters, room service and aquatic sport team were all fully committed to make our stay lovely. Need to mention as well Joyce and her lovely husband which everyday are playing greatly acoustic covers and gave us the opportunity to join them playing music togheter pretty much every time they saw us! Thank you all guys, wonderful team! Looking at the island, I'll try to cut it short as you have plenty of picture available which represents the true inner beauty of this island. The seaside and corals are great as well as the rooms which were cleaned twice a DAY. No need to go with Villa with private pool in my opinion as the sea is way more cristal clear! We were staying on room 228 on the main reception and buffet restaurant side, I have noticed this side is generally more calm (at least during our stay) therefore recommended to have the perfect water condition as the other side was a bit more windy and exposed.

The staff is good at serving. We especially thank you to Budi and Phadas at reservation desk. You can taste delicous things. Swimming and snorkeling at the island was a exciting experience. One more time we can come to this hotel. Because it was a good choice for us.

This was our second time visiting Royal Island and 5th visiting the Maldives. The food was amazing. The Executive Chef Ishag Solih delivered a phenomenal array of cuisine with different themes each evening. He was so passionate about the food. His heart and soul was in it. I really loved the traditional Maldivian food night. Maha our Personal Assistant was so helpful and sent us daily updates of what activities were going on. A really kind and caring person who ensured our time in Royal Island went smoothly.

Small enough island to have an easy walk to restaurant etc - we do like small ones and never chose big ones - so it was perfect for us. Good snorkelling, nice air conditioner in the room, room and bathroom very comfortable and clean, and never once did we have any "guests" in the outdoor bathroom during the night - in previous places we had lizards, etc - again, for us it was perfect. Water, etc replenished daily. WiFi works in the room and everywhere without a glitch.
